When you order a table, it’s nice to know that the tabletop you are buying has a slightly different appearance from the one you saw in your dealer’s showroom. Wood is a living material, and no two tabletops are identical because the way the lumber has been cut has a decisive influence on the final appearance of your table.
. 		Flat Sawn: The wood maintains its vital appearance, and its texture appears in arcs.

Quarter Sawn: The wood has a very regular and uniform appearance.
